More success for Jersey Pottery ceramics
06 November 2008

Jersey Pottery is delighted to announce the success of two new ranges, which launched internationally earlier this year. Since launching American Trout and Game ranges in July, more than 40 international orders have been received. One of the orders came from Eggleston Hall, the venue for the Channel 4 show “From Ladette to Lady”, and another from House of BRUAR, Scotland’s most prestigious country store.

The American Trout range has been commissioned by Red Cabin Pottery in the US, which is currently in talks with Orvis, the oldest sporting mail order company in the US, and the US Trout Farmers Association.

Another recent success includes an order from Valvona and Crolla, Scotland’s oldest delicatessen and Italian wine merchant. Earlier in the year, Valvona & Crolla announced a partnership with Jenners, known as the “Harrods” of the North, recently brought under the ownership of House of Fraser. The company has commissioned a range of Valvona & Crolla branded pottery, including mugs, a wine cooler and chopping boards, as well as a separate Italian range to include apertiser plates, lasangne dishes and a pizza plates.

“We are delighted with how the new ranges have been received,” says Jonathan Jones, Director of Jersey Pottery. “Once again we have secured contracts with some excellent brands, many of which will profile the Jersey Pottery brand abroad and play an important ambassadorial role for the company and the Island of Jersey overall. 2008 has been challenging but rewarding year for us in terms of export and we are now planning activity for 2009 and 2010 to build on our reputation in the market.”

The good news follows an announcement in May, in which the company reported a flurry of international requests following exhibitions in Frankfurt and Birmingham, where they launched the Mediterranian, Berry Splats, Fruits de Mer Cook & Serve and Steamy Delights ranges. Recent orders have gone to Casa Welch in Lima (Peru), Palacio Importaciones S.A. de C.V. in Mexico, and Atlantis The Palm in Dubai. -ENDS
