25 June 2009

PRESS RELEASE
16th MARCH 2009

Jersey Pottery on the table at top London department store
Five of Harrods restaurants will be dishing up food on Jersey Pottery ceramics. The high-profile London department store has appointed Jersey Pottery to design and supply their crockery.
Since January the Fish Grill restaurant has been serving up dishes on Jersey Pottery’s Fruit de Mer range. Following a meeting in London with head chef James Wierzelewski. Jersey Pottery was asked to provide bespoke ceramics for another four of their other restaurants. The Pizzeria, the Rotisserie, the Café Espresso located in Harrods food hall and the  Chocolate Bar on the first floor of the internationally renowned department store.
The main thrust it to use the crockery in the restaurants with an additional retail display nearby to compliment and add value to their existing offerings.
Manon Fradin, Design Director at Jersey Pottery interpreted the existing Mediterranean range onto ceramics for the Pizzeria restaurant and last week was awarded the contract. Jersey Pottery designed and had manufactured a pizza plate uniquely for the project.
Jersey Pottery us now working on the three remaining restaurants the Rotisserie, Chocolate Bar and Café Espresso.
Harrods Food Hall is very busy with 27 restaurants and extremely high profile. This contract demonstrates Jersey Pottery’s ability to deliver unique designs at the highest quality in an international market place.
Jonathan Jones Director at the Jersey Pottery said “I am delighted that Jersey Pottery has been appointed to run this high profile project and it shows what we can design and deliver for top clients around the world. It is more exciting that James Wierzelewski sees a huge potential in creating an eating experience coupled with a retail potential that clients will hopefully buy into and take home with them as well. In these uncertain global times it is rewarding to receive such visible contracts.”
